Creative Beautiful Bespoke

This garden had been landscaped in the past, but navigating around the garden was proving more challenging due to its deterioration and also a fresh eye needed to be cast over some of the layout.

The front garden needed a completely new design, which would accomodate a steep slope but also be able to include a garden room.

The brief was to rationlise the layout of the garden making it more user and maintenance friendly, while keeping a more rustic and natural look.  Various seating areas were required to take in views from the upper levels and also create a more intimate seating and entertaining area nearer to the house.

The most steep part of the garden was perfect for including a wildflower lawn underplanted with naturalising spring bulbs, overlooked by a semi circular seating area and fire pit.

The brief for the front garden was to create an intimate garden space with that maintained privacy and include a garden studio for home working and entertaining.

A new water feature  incorporating all the level changes down the side of the garden, was also on the wish list. However, this was not incorporated in to the final design.

Forest of Dean Pennant Sandstone was eventually used throughout the garden construction, creating unity and natural beauty between the different garden areas.

Planting and construction of the front garden to be completed in 2021
